The Real Estate Market is on the rise again as Spring Market turns into fifth gear, and we start seeing more properties hit the market than we've seen in the past several months. This is great news. It's actually bittersweet news to many buyers because as buyers see more homes come to the market, you better believe it, other sellers think to themselves, “let me put my house on the market and get into the market as another buyer as well”. 


So what's that mean?

Well, in a STABLE MARKET, you'll see and expect prices to be the same as they probably were worth yesterday. Meaning, if someone paid five hundred thousand dollars for a house, the next week, a similar house is probably going to sell at $500,000, but in a DECLINING MARKET, what does that mean? It means that if someone paid $500,000 for a house, the next week, someone else might pay $499,000. In that case, the price that someone paid yesterday for a house is actually HIGHER than the person who is going to pay the next day.



But we're in an INCREASING MARKET.

This means that today's high price is actually tomorrow's low price. And why is that? As so many buyers get into the market still and there are not as many houses available for sale, that means that buyers can expect to pay a high price today which is also going to be tomorrow’s low price.


While buying in a flat market is easy for many buyers and sellers to understand. Buying in an either increasing or decreasing market can be challenging! And it's why Brooke Team is taking advantage of this time to educate our clients more than ever before so that our clients can actually be opportunistic in this market. Whether they're looking to buy their first house, buy an investment property, or a second home, they're now considering more education upfront than ever before.


Factors like the national debt ceiling, interest rates, and inflation are massive concerns on the minds of buyers and sellers as they don't want to make a mistake. They don't want to overpay for a property or get into a market where they could see that it would potentially fail in the coming months and years.
